Full Description

Built in 1952 by Fellows & Stewart in San Pedro, JoAhna K is a 58-foot heavy timber motor yacht designed by William Garden. Originally commissioned for long-range exploration, she carries 3,200 gallons of fuel and 800 gallons of water, offering a true passagemaking range of over 4,000 nautical miles. Her story includes Hollywood origins, two decades of Alaskan charter service, and extensive professional restoration. A major refit in 2002 (costing over $750,000) included twin John Deere Lugger diesels, a Northern Lights generator, Hurricane hydronic heat, updated electrical systems, modern electronics, new shafts, props, plumbing, and three VacuFlush heads. A later fire was contained, and the yacht underwent another 1.5-year professional rebuild that restored her.
