Full Description

Gillissen Kotter 1800 Noorderlicht is a 1974 steel motor yacht built by Bak in the Netherlands and designed by Gillissen. She measures 18.06m x 4.98m with a 1.6m draft and displaces 45 tonnes. Equipped with twin 150hp Volvo Penta diesels, a 10kVA generator, SeaRocq fin stabilisers and 5,000L of diesel, she’s made for extended cruising. Three cabins sleep six, with teak interiors and central heating. For sale at €249,500 (approx £215,000 / $267,000).

CONSTRUCTION

Steel hull with a round bilge and a full-length keel. Decks are laid in teak over steel. Superstructure is wooden, finished in painted coatings. There are 22 copper portholes (18 openable), 2 Gebo deck hatches, and dorade vents for ventilation. The rubbing strake is steel. Window frames are aluminium with glass inserts. All detailing is in traditional Dutch style with a robust finish.

MACHINERY

Twin Volvo Penta MD100B 150hp diesel engines on shaft drive with hydraulic gearbox. Freshwater heat exchanger cooling. Hydraulic bow thruster. Stainless steel shafts with fixed props. 10kVA JF Marine generator. Electric bilge pump. Max speed approx. 10 knots.

ELECTRICS

Victron Skylla-I 24V/80A chargers (x2), Victron Atlas 24/1200 inverter, battery monitor, 4x start batteries, 1x generator battery, full shorepower system with cable.

TANKAGE

Fuel: 5,000L (steel), Freshwater: 2,000L, Blackwater: 500L. Fuel gauge via glass level indicator, blackwater monitored with Wema sensor and extracted via deck fitting and pump.

NAVIGATION

Raymarine ST60+ depth/log, ST7001+ autopilot, twin RL70C radar units, compass, VHF, rudder angle indicator, navigation lights, searchlight, side and engine room cameras, Raytheon loudhailer, PC interface.

ACCOMODATION

Three cabins sleep six. Aft owner’s cabin with twin singles and en-suite bathroom. Forward guest V-berth cabin, and a midships double guest cabin. Shared guest bathroom with separate shower. Teak interior with central heating, electric toilets (Tecma and Vetus), Bosch fridge/freezer, AEG hob, microwave, washing machine, and stainless steel sink.

DECK

Teak deck finish throughout with stainless steel sea railing and teak grab rails. Manual Francis Marine anchor windlass with chain. Two manual clearview windows, two wipers, fenders, mooring lines, cockpit awning, table, and chairs.

SAFETY

Standard safety fittings including horn, navigation lights, loudhailer, and clearview systems. Emergency bilge pumping via electric bilge pump.
