Full Description

ATLANTA is a 10m steel paddle-wheel yacht built in 1992 by Volharding. She features teak decks, copper rails, mahogany joinery and a hydraulic paddle-wheel propulsion system driven by an 88hp Iveco diesel engine. The engine has approx. 80 hours. Fuel comes from twin 200L steel tanks (53 US gal each) and water from a 250L stainless tank (66 US gal). Starting bid is €50,000 (approx. £43,000 / $54,000). She is ideal for river and inland cruising with a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 8. Auction link available on request.

CONSTRUCTION

The hull is steel with multi hard chine form, epoxy-coated and fully sandblasted. Superstructure is wood, with full teak deck overlay. Brass hatches, copper portholes, and dorades add vintage styling. Window frames are wooden with tempered glass. Stainless rubbing strake and copper safety rails complete the aesthetic.

MACHINERY

Powered by a single 88hp Iveco 8061 M12 diesel engine with freshwater cooling and hydraulic gearbox. Twin paddle wheels are driven hydraulically for smooth, responsive handling. Engine hours are approx. 80. Max speed 8 knots, cruise around 6. Controls are via Bowden cable. Water-cooled exhaust.

ELECTRICS

12V and 230V system with Victron isolation transformer. Start battery is 140Ah Bosch. Service bank consists of two 180Ah Bosch batteries. Electrical water pressure system feeds galley and head. Navigation lights and interior lighting throughout.

TANKAGE

Fuel: Twin 200L steel tanks (53 US gal each) Fresh water: 250L stainless tank (66 US gal) Hydraulic system: 100L (26.4 US gal)

NAVIGATION

Sumlog SL VDO log, navigation lights, multi-display at helm.

ACCOMODATION

Convertible dinette berth to port. Galley includes Origo 4100 two-burner spirit stove, stainless sink and fridge with freezer. Shared head with electric toilet and stainless basin. Teak floor and mahogany cabinetry throughout. Headroom approx. 1.90 metres

DECK

Steel deck with teak overlay. Brass and copper deck hardware, teak/brass windscreen, copper sea rails and grab rails. Dorades for passive ventilation. Wooden boarding ladder aft.

SAFETY

Electric bilge pump, horn, copper grab rails, stainless strake. Open cockpit with high visibility and safety rail layout.
